Car 467 goes into the sunset

#1

Just want to let you all know I’ve sold #467.

As if my pathetic attendance over the past two seasons wasn’t evidence enough… racing just wasn’t fitting into my life any more. Between work, 2 busted ankles, new hobbies, and new goals… all added up to a race car that was being neglected and in need of a new driver.

the owner, a soon-to-be ex-SM guy… Julian Cates.

The racing and the adrenaline are going to easy to replace. But you knuckleheads are hands down some of the best people I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know. Between beer and parts, I never went without. And I thank you for all the good times.

I look forward to seeing you around a random paddock in the near future.

Be Safe. Be Good.

Good luck. I’m selling all other hobbies for se30. If you need some good paint balling or snowboarding equipment let me know. The only thing not being sold are my guns because they hold their value quite well. I could be talked out of my semi-auto .308 G3 replica though.

Good luck to you Scott. Damned sorry to see you go. There was some good times.

For those of you unaware of it, Scott designed and printed all of the darn cool IFU shirts.

#4

Good luck in the next chapter, Scott, and thanks for being so awesome. I will endeavor to be worthy of the 467.

#5

Welcome Julian. Scott, sad to see you go but I bet it does not last. Once its in your blood, its impossible to get it out.
Good luck to you both.

The 467 is now the 73. I’ll be at VIR on the 23rd, looking forward to meeting a bunch of you guys. I’ll be the slow guy trying to figure out a new car and a new track. I hear the new guys buy the beer, so feel free to stop by for a cold one.
