Man did I screw up at Road Atlanta. The damage was pretty severe, but thanks to Jack Allen and Robert Patton, I found a salvage car to make my car whole again. This photograph was taken today just before welding started on the new rear clip.
Car 4 will be ready soon
I’m registered for the mid-atlantic CMP event and plan to be there. I also plan to finish last.
Now that pic looks cool ! Look at all that access to work on the car Glad that you are getting it repaired.

Ditto, you can really get at those subframe bushings now
Good to hear things are coming back together. I hope to be back in action then too.
I’ll take dibs on 2nd to last
That is a CRAZY picture! I’m surprised that it’s not cheaper to cut the cage out and start from scratch. Good luck, and please share pics of the repair - I’d love to see it come together!

Is the rear subframe the new or the old. Parts arrive okay?
Looks like a lot of work. Keep every one posted.
Regards, Robert Patton
Robert, The boxes you sent arrived yesterday and are sitting behind the car in the photo above. The one in the photo is the old one. Thanks again!
If elections were held for the best ambassator for our sport, you would be elected KING my friend!
Yep, I recognize them. You might want to open them up to make sure that they’re not off of some wrecked junk that we’ve got around here.Seriously, the brake rotors and calipers were removed to keep each box below 50#. Those parts were still good on your car?
Thanks for the kind words.
Keep on welding and sanding, Robert
I can’t imagine how the rotors and calipers could have been damaged. I am assuming they are fine.
They are telling me it will be painted next week. Pretty amazing progress for just one week.
WOW!!!
What kind of shop is that? It looks clean and organized, and they finish on time too?
We need something like that here.
Looking good.
