Long story short, I broke a rocker and the cam is pretty badly worn, so the cam and all the rockers are getting replaced. The question is, is it easier/possible to swap everything without pulling the head, or should I just pull it and take care of it all out of the car? It seems like it would be possible to do without taking the head off but I’m not sure. Anyone with experience have advice? Thanks

Its got to be easier on a bench then bent over the head in the car.
I guess the only things you are out extra by pulling it would be head bolts and a head gasket. So how strong is your back compared to your wallet?

With a helper it’s pretty easy to R/R the head because you can lift it up with the manifolds still attached and replace it the same way. That lets you R/R the manifolds while the head is sitting on your bench.
Just be godawful careful when you put the head back on place. It’s heavy and awkward leaning over the engine bay with the better part of 100lbs and if you screw up placing the head back on, it could be a big screw up.
