Dear SpecE30 SouthEast,
Every time it rains in Cali everybody freaks out on the highway. I’m sad to report the same is true when it rains at the race track (Sears Point). Do you race in the rain in the SouthEast? Please help.

I think we had 5 or so track days in the rain this year. I personally love the rain. Slicks are OK as long as it is not puddling or streaming water on the track. Brake earlier and easier, and gradually compress the braking zones as you get a feel for the grip. Drive smooth. Good luck.
Thanks for the tips
My original post was vague, but we had heavy rain just prior to the race on Saturday at Sears Point (aka Infineon). Of the 13 cars eligible, only 7 started the race due to the rain and strategerie. This race didn’t count for points, and there were 2 points races the next day, so some people sat it out because they prefer caution over fun
The race was fun and challenging in the smoothness department, and the track dried up over the course of the race so there was lots of re-assessment of grip. It started off with the lead car spinning on the out lap in T2, and then another car spinning in the same spot on the first lap.
