Building up an engine for sale

#1

150k bottom end that came with New #6. Hot oil pressure was bit better than any of my other engines. Cylinders still have nice cross-hatching and are straight and round. Head is going to a machine shop to be refreshed tomorrow.

Cam is original and is in good shape. Can install a new cam if you want.

Rockers are original and in good shape. Can install new febi or new Ireland HD rockers if you want.

Original valve guides, because a little loose is good. New valve seals.

I put some time into making oil control really cherry. This alone was $300 parts and labor.

[li]Ranger’s Gress’s fabulous right-side oil pan baffle. Better than any other baffle on the market today, because it traps oil lower in the pan and it seals the right side tightly.[/li]

[li]Left side oil pan door.[/li]

Engine will be ready at the end of the month.

$2000 + your engine as a core. If you want to bring your car to Savannah to install the engine in my garage, we can work something out.

Any warranty? :stuck_out_tongue:

We could work something out.

Scott, $2k is too low, but the cat is already out of the bag.

Folks, if you need an engine this is the deal. We spend at least that much on the machine work and new parts/gaskets to build the 5 or 6 that we did last year up here in Atlanta.

Machine shop called. 2 of the exhaust valves were ever so slightly bent so I’m pulling exhaust valves out of my backup head and taking them to the shop in the morning. Who has some serviceable exhaust valves they will sell cheap? The backup head is going to the machine shop for a refresh next but now it has only 10 valves.

Tonight I put oil temp sensor (1/8NPT) bungs in all my oil pans.
