Build Photos Updated

#1

Hi all…

I’ve updated our website to include the latest photos of our (almost complete - when’s that exhaust getting here) build and thought you guys might like to see them. We’re excited to get the car to the track and see how she runs again… heading out to Sebring on Wednesday :silly: :stuck_out_tongue:  :silly:

Natalie, that is such a beautiful car. Lots of attention to detail!

Good luck!

Are you racing this year? It looked like you only had one door bar on the drivers side. Car looks awesome and it seems like you’ve been through a lot together.

Still need to do a couple things…

Suits
HANS Device - on order (waited for the cheap one to come out)
Plumb the fire system outlets
The damn door bar

Car was caged 2.5 years ago, and…rules change. I need to find a cage builder that is decent within a 4 day drive of Tampa. Not as easy as we thought. We had Mark McMahon in our back yard in Cleveland - and what a job he did. Plus, at Sebring this weekend, we got a million different suggestions. NASCAR bars are not a good fit with a 4 door, and I don’t really want to tear out what is there. I’d like to put in a sill bar below what is existing, and put some small connectors between them.

Hey - it’s just money

I see no reason to take anything off that cage. As long as it was built with DOM steel it’s a good design. Just add an “X” bar on the door and come racing! The first SE30 cage I built had two “X” braces. The one I just finished has a pseudo-NASCAR setup but your right in saying it would be difficult to make that work in the 4 door. You could always come out to CMP in February. We could add that door bar either Thursday before the event or Monday after for like $100-150.

Check out this thread to see where I am starting, and my thoughts on where to go (the yellow lines).

I need to run it by a tech steward before I do anything - I only want to do it twice
