Brrrrr.....

As my M20s sit frozen wrapped in an electric blanket surrounded by space heaters, I thought I would suggest everyone go check their cars for the same.

I know up here in the Mountains this latest cold snap has probably been a little more extreme for us than it has been for most of you, but the whole SE has been pretty frigid. So pick up some anti-freeze on your way home tonight!!

Here in Birmingham they are projecting a HIGH of 28deg next Monday. It’s not to often that we have days that don’t get above freezing. The Spec E30 will be wheeled into the garage and the Spec Miata will be wheeled out. lol

I traded water for antifreeze before I left the track… My car is sitting in a trailer in Kentucky all winter and the antifreeze should do the trick.

Oh, and don’t forget to drain your Cool Shirt cooler/hoses if they’re still in the car…

And if you have an AFFF system you need to protect it from freezing.

Jim, we missed you at RA! What happened?

I’m in NW Florida, and I put a tarp over the hood and my car cover on. We have been barely getting to the freeze point at night. I hope I will be good till I can swap to coolant this weekend. So you need to wrap a couple blankets around the fire bottle as well during winter. Man I gotta get a bigger heated garage.

Well by the time I got off work the heaters and electric blanket had both the Spec E30 and Lemons car thawed!! I was able to drain about a gallon of water out of both and replace with anti-freeze!! That was a close call:woohoo:
