With a $100,000 check in your pocket you think you might spring for some burgers and fries?

Due to some gross injustice or horrendous turn of fate, Skeen didn’t win the $100k. How do I know this, you ask? Well, think about it…he’s still hanging around with us, isn’t he? If he’d just pocketed $100k, he’d hang around with a classier crowd.

Well, unless the taxman left him with only pocket change.

He was spotted hanging out with the MA racers last weekend. . . .

Luke,

Will we also be able to weigh our cars while we’re there?

There’s been some recent discussion on weight. I haven’t weighed myself (me and car) since Rockingham, and I’d like to see where I’m falling.

#27

If not, you can bet there will be scales at the track…

i’m always amazed at how few people weigh their cars on the official scales at events before they might be called in for weight checks…

lol! that wasn’t directed at you scott, just a general observation about racers in classes with minimum weights…

I can probably bring the NASA scales to BRE on the dyno day…

#32

BRE has a dyno dymanics dyno correct? “The heartbreaker” as it is know in some circles. Most have gotten numbers from a Dynojet but I got my numbers from a dyno dynamics as well so I am looking forward to hearing some results.

#33

I dyno’d on a Dynojet last month so It’ll be good to have the comparison as well.

We will also be doing a before and after spec exhaust test on at least 1 of the cars.

My car goes to the dyno (in Clearwater, Fl) this Thursday. If it is below 145 I’ll be asking any and all of you for help. If it above 155 I’ll keep my mouth shut and hang my head.

Don[/quote]

Well?
:side:

Oh yeah we can set up the scales. If i remember correctly we have the same scales used at the track. I highly doubt there would be any difference due to the self zeroing factor on both sets of scales.

Yeah its a dyno dynamics and we have dubbed it the heart breaker. So many sad faces. haha.

With any luck we will have a new lift actually in the dyno room before next Thursday which will make things much easier. No promises though. that is just what we were told. Its gonna be a crazy day.

i highly recommend checking your car on the official scales at the track just in case there are any differences between the scale readings…

it’s nice to use shop scales (for setting a car up) but the only scales that matter are the ones you have to roll over at impound…the old “well it made weight on the other scales” argument doesn’t usually work at post race impound

Excellent on the back-to-back. If there’s any chance to get 2 cars in on the exhaust swap comparo that would be twice as nice. And, see if they can print a graph which just shows the best run of each config, so the differences are easy to eyeball.

#40

not a problem. The new lift in the dyno room is being installed as I type this. It should be no problem doing more then one car. We can also graph the pulls however you would like. Also, if you guys are interested, the dyno has a program which allows it to estimate flywheel horsepower.

Okay so does anyone have a clue who is coming and when? Just want to get some idea because i need to pack up my crap as well.
