Brakes survey!!!

Alright, we are dusting off the online store and thinking about supporting Spec E30 because this series is AWESOME. The first order of business is brake package. All I hear is hawk blues, nothing wrong with that, but let’s share your setup:

  • Hawk?
  • Cobalt XR series?
  • Performance Friction?
  • Raybestos?

And how about rotors?

  • OEM?
  • Cheapest option at pepboys

We have a couple of packages that will last at least 4 weekends of sprints, no fade and fantastic modulation. Interested? Just ask Carl how good our brakes were at the 25hr.

Hawk Blues fore and aft for me… B) using the cheaper rotors that Walter stocks…PBR’s I think??

Hawks for me front and rear as they were free! Ran pfc 01 at the beginning of the year.

PF01 all four corners!

pf06 and cheapest rotors possible (autoparts123 with discount was ~$15 per rotor, shipped)

PFC01’s all around and Ate rotors. Might try the cheaper rotors this year since everyone else seems to be having luck with them.

PFC06 good for enduros… not as much bite as PFC01’s or Hawk HT10’s.

I like the Hawk HT10’s. I’ve never used the 01’s (because the Hawks have never given me a reason to switch) but I hear they are good.
