Does anyone happen to know the size and thread pitch of the fittings on the brake master cylinder output?
Thanks!

bump - anyone got a spare MC lying around they could check the threads and save me a trip to the JY? Thanks much!
AJ - I had one on the shelf. I got a bolt to thread in and it appears to be either a M10 1.25 or SAE 3/8 fine pitch. The reason I say that is because when I miced the bolt it did not quite measure 10 - about 9.8. BTW, it was a girling master cylinder.
Hope this helps.
Ed
BMW Brake Fittings are M10x1.0, the master cylinder outputs have female (concave) seats. This also applies to the BMW clutch systems as well e.g. Slave cylinder is an M10x1.0 concave seat.
thanks for the info - my thread pitch guage only went down to 1.25 and it looked like a match. Ed
Fantastic, thank you both!
A follow up Q - do you know is that a 45* or 37* flared fitting?
Thanks again!
AJ
You doing brake pressure with your TM? There is a local store in Pleasanton we’ve found with all sorts of flared pressure bits (mostly used for addition of Trailers). Let me know if you’re interested. We’re currently working on it for the Spec Boxster.

Hey Dan, yea that’s what I’m thinking. I’ll give you a call - I work in Pleasanton would like to go check it out. I saw the seat in your photos - looks good. You didn’t use the Schroth harnesses?
I’ll give you a call tomorrow night, we actually haven’t installed it yet, but it’s in our queue and I will get you the details over the phone tomorrow.
Seat worked out great, Kenny had another pair of harnesses that match so I’ll return yours to you when I see you at Inf if you’d like them back before the seat. I really appreciate you helping out! Car is coming along nicely.
