Brake booster hoses

I apologize if this has been brought up before but I did RTFF and didn’t find any specific answers to my questions.

I appreciate that if this modification is not expressly written in the regs it cannot be done but I will ask anyway.

I would like change the 2 hose/check valve configuration between the throttle body and the brake booster
to a 1 hose/check valve configuration. (in the interest of removing one more potential vac leak)

Has this been performed successfully before while still in compliance of the rules?

Since all e30 cars are eligible, there were years that used only one hose. Source one of those.
