With 3 NASA events at CMP I know that I’ll pass on this rare opportunity. Save your need to be at a CCA event for either Octoberfest at Road Atlanta (bring in the MA, Fla, and Ohio guys for a big show), or Roebling in December?
Regards, Robert Patton
Don’t choose one or the other, do them all. Most of us don’t go to Nationals and many of us miss the most distant Regional NASA Races. Some BMWCCA races are the perfect way to make that up with a few more races in our calendar.
It takes a good month to get your BMWCCA license, so don’t wait. Here’s the link to get started.

I think I read in the '09 BMWCCA CCR’s that we don’t need the number board because we are not a “BMWCCA Class”, or something like that. But that issue remains unconfirmed.
I’m going to put the BMWCCA decals on a single magnetic sheet and then slap the sheet on the car with a little helper tape on the leading edge. Then tape the Tire Rack Windshield decal on, and I should be set.

I knew you’d drink the Kool Aid eventually

I can see O’fest having the potential for one heck of big spec e30 class…
FL will be represented. We’re going to be there for sure (I’ve already made our hotel reservations in fact ) And Don said it wouldn’t be out of the question for his partner to show up from Ohio with the car for some co-driving fun.
Some extra fun to consider: the Petit LeMans 12-hour is at RA the weekend before O’fest gets underway. The last time O’fest was in the area, there was a great corral/hospitality area set up for the CCA members. In fact, Bill Auberlen sigh came and hung out with us after he did his 360 airborne flip in the BMW prototype ('00) I’d be surprised if it didn’t happen again… (the corral that is, not flipping BMW race cars )
I’m signed up for the BMWCCA race at CMP. Come on boys and girls, lets show BMWCCA that SpecE30 is a force to be reckoned with.

SpecE30 is now allowed to participate in BMWCCA as it’s own class. Do a search for BMWCCA and you’ll see a couple of threads that work thru the details as more info became available. You have to get a BMWCCA license. Their required decals will come with your license.
I wonder if they will let me run with a NASA provisional license. Knowing BMW probably not!
AFAIK you can’t run (nor even register on the CCA website) w/o a CCA license, so no just showing up to run.
However, I (and others I know of) used our NASA rookie license as evidence/collateral to apply for and receive a CCA rookie license…At least in 2006 that was the deal. At the time I applied for my CCA license, I had one (1) NASA race under my belt.
