Hey has anyone seen this book yet? What do you think of it?
BMW E30: 3 Series Restoration Bible
I just got a copy of it but I’ve only flipped through it so far. It has an extensive history of all the e30 models in various countries including the specialty models from alpina, hartge and AC schnitzer. Some useless stuff also - like the specs on all of the e30’s that were used during the 1982 press launch in the UK…
There are some diagrams that I haven’t seen elsewhere (possibly because I haven’t had to deal with the issues like a cracked head that they show). The book seems to touch on a lot of things to watch out for or how to deal with a particular symptom but it doesn’t get too deep into the repair (keep your bentley close by).
I don’t regret buying it at all but haven’t read enough yet to know if it contains some pearls.
cheers,
bruce

I just bought it- (from MidLife Classic Books)- at a car show this past weekend!
I also have not had time to do more than thumb through it- it looks like a good book for E30 fans, but appears to be loaded with bits of useless info (I also noticed ALOT of space taken up with comments and stats on the UK E30 press cars and where they are now.).
I’ll try to read and review it in the next couple of days.
Bret.
