Blown rear shock, options?

#1

So it looks like one of my rears is gone. Question is, what is the fastest most efficient way to deal with this? I see people get theirs rebuilt, but how long does it take? I imagine it’s cheaper then getting a new one. How much does just one cost? Everybody seems to sell the kit, but not an individual shock.

Anyways, CMP is just over a month away, so I need to figure something out fast.

Thanks!

I don’t recall the specifics but I looked into the rebuild program last summer and it seemed a good deal. I’d take both rear shocks (or all 4) off tonight, pack them up and take them to work. Call Bilstein in the morning and if you like what you hear send them off 2nd day.

I had them rebuild and re-valve some shocks for a 911 I had a few years back and they turned it around pretty quickly and for a reasonable cost. If they can do it at their East coast location shipping will be real quick.

Do both rears or all four. Not just one.

Spoke to them. Turns out their east coast location is 30 minutes away from my house. Guys said he’d have it done in under a week. Keeping my fingers crossed it happens that way.
