Bimmerworld 2012 Southeast Spec E30 Contingency

#1

I’m pleased to announce that BimmerWorld will be continuing a Spec E30 contingency program in NASA-SE for the 2012 season. As most of you are already aware, BimmerWorld is a premier North American BMW performance facility offering OEM and Aftermarket parts through some of the most knowledgeable sales staff in the business.

Program Requirements

BW - To be eligible for BimmerWorld contingencies, car must display the official BimmerWorld decal (2.5”x11”) on each front fender, unless written approval of a substitution is on file from James at BimmerWorld. You can get this decal at the track with prior arrangements or from BimmerWorld upon request with any purchase.

PFC - To be eligible for Performance Friction contingency, car must display the Performance Friction decal on the front position of the front fender in front of tire opening. Additionally, the finisher must produce an invoice or order number for their prior purchase of Performance Friction SpecE30-fitment brake pads from BimmerWorld dated within one year of the race date. Please pay attention to placement of this decal, Performance Friction is not flexible on this location.

Example of proper locations:

Contingency Details

Contingency will be available for one Saturday feature race per weekend of a NASA Southeast event. If there is no Saturday race, an alternate race can be designated before the event. To be eligible for contingency, the race class must have at least three finishers (more than ½ the laps of the winner). To claim contingency, email james@bimmerworld.com with 1) two pictures of your car showing the decal on both sides AND 2) a link to the official race results for your finish. Claims must be made within 1 month of results date.

Payout Schedule

Payout for BimmerWorld awards is in the form of credit which can be used in the BimmerWorld store, one certificate per order.

1st – $100 BimmerWorld Certificate
6th – Certificate for one box Performance Friction SpecE30 brake pads
11th – $50 BimmerWorld Certificate

BimmerWorld has a long history of supporting club racers and the sport we all love dearly. I’d like to extend a big thanks to them for the continued support. If you have any questions about the program please feel free to contact me here or at evan.levine@gmail.com. I will be sure to have the required stickers and forms at the upcoming CMP race for anyone interested.

Evan, thanks for your help in organizing this program, and of course to BimmerWorld, for their ongoing support of our little grassroots racing!

quoted for truth

#4

Thanks to Bimmerworld and Evan. Dont forget some stickers, the 113 is having a front end makeover.

#5

Thanks Bimmerworld for the support.

#6

Thanks to BimmerWorld and Evan!

#7

Is this BW contingency SE Region specific, or can other regions take advantage of it as well?

#8

It is region specific. Bimmerworld supports many classes in many regions but each needs to be handled on a case by case basis.

#9

Details have been updated in the original post. I will have both stickers for people wishing to participate at the Feb CMP race. I won’t be able to attend quite as many races this year, so I may look for one of you to look after the stickers at RATL.

#10

SCHWEET!

#11

Thanks Bimmerworld for extending it out to the Midwest.

#12

Deleted!

#13

Thanks to Bimmerworld. I enjoyed using my $50 gift certificate last year.

#14

Just curious. If 3 cars are present, does this only pay for 1’st place?

#15

Anyone?

#16

That is correct, there would be no 6th or 11th place finishers in a 3 car race. It’s also somewhat irrelevant in this region, as I believe 13 is the smallest field I’ve seen yet.

#17

Congratulations to all on a great weekend at CMP. Due to what I believe is a pending DQ the actual results will reflect:

1st ($100 BW bucks) - Evan Levine
6th (PFC pads) - Damion Moses
11th ($50 BW bucks) - Fred Switzer

You guys will need to wait until MyLaps reflects the DQ to be able to claim your price. You will email this link: http://www.mylaps.com/results/showrun.jsp?id=2169757&perclass=1 to james@bimmerworld.com and attach a photo of both sides of your car displaying the proper decals. Feel free to CC me if you’d like or need any clarification.

MyLaps records have been corrected, thanks to Chuck. You can go ahead and make these claims. Also please note that Bimmerworld is asking that contingency claims be made within 1 month of the event this year. Thanks!

Actually it was Bryan Carpenter in T&S. Those guys do a great job for us!

Y’all enjoy those BW awards!
