Best place to buy suspension components?

#1

Specifically H&R springs, Bilstein sports, and a set of sway bars…does anyone offer a package deal to Spec E30 builders? Thanks

#2

it’s good to shop at our sponsors - bimmerworld.com, elephantmotorsports.com, flyingbrickperformance.com, ireland engineering (bmw2002.com)

cheers,
bruce

Flying Brick will sell you Ireland’s parts for less than Ireland!

#4

I’ve bought from Flying Brick, Ireland and Carr.

Turner sells a ‘package’, but I bought the majority so far from a SpecE30 sponsor/vendor. Turner also doesn’t sell the Ireland bars I wanted.

Also http://www.valleymotorwerks.com/ - Walter is SpecE30 member currently building a car

We don’t offer a full ‘package’ or ‘kit’ persay but have all the parts you’d need to build a car. Those of you looking to buy most of the parts to build a car at once let me or James know and we can put something together for you.

We don’t really put a full package together as 5 different people want 5 different setups anyway. Rarely when we priced setups as a package did anybody ever buy that exact actual package anyway.

I shopped a few places. Tire Rack had the springs for $224 and http://www.bimmerparts.com had the bilsteins for a really good price less than $400. I mailed a check to save on CC surcharge. I’m going to get the sway bars from Ireland

#9

Not too bad, the LSD will about pay for the car

#10

yep, rex is taking the bilsteins and the Eibach springs and we are going to strip it for whatever else we can and send it off to the crusher…
who needs stuff? No engine or trans
no headlights or bumper covers
glass is all good
pass door is good
driver door has a minor sideswipe
trunk lid and fenders are ok
dash is not cracked:woohoo:

#11

Sean,

Does it have a working headlight switch? Mine is goofy and most of the time requires major fiddling to get the dash lights to illuminate at all.

Thanks,
Sasha

#12

Just be careful – IIRC, there are two manufacturers of headlight switches and they are not interchangeable.

+1 I bought most of my stuff from Walter (not just suspension I mean - rotors, pads, etc). Great guy to work with, and since he is out driving with the club at most events is easy to be in touch with and we save on shipping. :stuck_out_tongue:
