So I think we have:

Mike Skeen
Kelley
Bill
Rob / Pink Pantas
Jim
Pattons (I’m assuming)
Steve?

Based on this I can safely predict a top ten finish.

Who else?
I am pretty sure that Carter and Carlton are planning to be there.
We are. Carlton’s clutch gave up at Mid Ohio but we’ll have it back together early next week.

Carter
Oh goody, revenge!;)
You Southeast suckers are in trouble. I took my car to the alignment guy Saturday and I had only 2.3 degrees of total toe out at the rear at Mid Ohio. Now that the rear tires aren’t dragging down the straights and the car won’t try to swap ends mid corner, I’ll be getting back on the gas at the proper place.

Oh, and did I mention that I learn new tracks very quickly?

Lookout!

Puhleeze. No more MA guys winning in SE! B)

Skeen, ain’t gonna be no mid-atlantic guys winning at Barber. Damion knows this track well. The taxi is back with a new clutch. You’ve proven to be one of the best. L. Patton knows her way around Barber as does Cullen, Foushee and Childress. With a bunch of other talented SE racers, Carter and Carlton will have their hands full.

They had better sign up for HPDE 1 to get some track time.

Regards, Robert Patton

I’m sticking by my prediction of a top 10 finish.

#25

Jim, careful you’ll have to beat out three others for the coveted 10 spot.

Have fun, Robert

And, of course, one of you wonderful folks will ride with me during my HPDE-4 session to show me the fast way around!

Isn’t this your first time there, too?

On an unrelated note, Lea will have her e30 on the track for the first time at Barber in HPDE-3. Hopefully she will have it ready to race sometime next year.

I am going to pretend that it does. :stuck_out_tongue:

Everyone cross their fingers that the John Deer #168 is up for the weekend. After the power issues I had at Roebling I was unable to find anything apparant. I’ve had to resort to letting someone that knows what they’re doing look at the car. No prognoses yet. Hopefully she’ll be up for the weekend.

I really hope you make it. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Kelly - did you try pushing the farthest pedal to the right all the way to the floor?

It is the big long one (thats what she said). If you can’t find it ask Skeen or T-bone, they’ll help you.

#35

Ok, maybe the wrong thread, but whatever. I’m saddened that I won’t be there to shame some of your lap times. Either way, Jim Robinson will be the official transporter of the 6th place points trophy. The elves did not have enough time to prepare a standard Barber 6th place race trophy for reasons beyond the scope of this document. Here’s the year end, SE 2007 6th place points trophy:

Have fun!

Jim definitely not the problem… Don’t you remember I broke the accelerator pedal off at Road Atlanta… That being said I just heard the prognosis.

The good: Everything should be good to go for Barber;
The bad: My checkbook balance;

See you guys on Friday

Bad turbo?

Sounds like a cracked head or a head gasket???

I may even be in the running for the points trophy!

#39

So…ummmm…if I am reading the schedule correctly, the Great Pumpkin Run on Sunday is going to include all Thunder and Lightning cars on the track at the same time for an hour long race!!!

Bill, yep one big, long, happy, no-points (the season is over after Saturday’s race) event with all cars. No practise, qualifing will likely be a carryover from the previous day. Watch your rearview mirror and you’ll be okay.
