[quote]My opinion, not that anyone asked for it but you’re going to get it anyway, is that it’s a good idea. It seems a little intimidating at first, but you can learn so much. The thing to remember is that this isn’t a points race and it doesn’t count, so keep it on the pavement and watch your mirrors. This can be a great learning opportunity for everyone involved and since it’s just a race for fun, the racers from both groups tend to respect each other. It’s work out great at Rockingham in the past and it’s been a blast, so I’m looking forward to it.Laura Lou

Dear Laura Lou, Intimidation never entered my mind. With age comes wisdom, and like
Damion, I question the wisdom of putting 80 or so cars on a track this size that was designed for motorcycle racing, (ie) short straightaways and numerous turns. Rockingham and its high banks provide plenty of passing zones, Barber as you well know isn’t quite as forgiving.
I’m planning to be real good Saturday and real smart Sunday. Just not sure at this point if "real smart" means leaving the track real early Sunday.
See you soon.
