ball joint dust boots

Got a couple tears from taking off the subframe.

Didn’t find any replacements for just the boots on the BMW parts fische.

Any tips for sealing up the tears or for other parts that are equivalent replacements?

if you’re talking about the front control arms, they are not serviceable and the entire control arm gets replaced :frowning:

They are serviceable, just no BMW part number.
Badder told me about some Poly boots available from BMP.

Anyone have luck sealing small splits with sealant?

I have the bmp boots on my turbo car. They just slide over the top. They have been they’re for almost a decade and I had forgotten they were there.

For future reference, Jack at Elephant has a boot from another vehicle that fits.

And it fits on both inboard and outboard joints. Having a second set of hands and pick for the retaining ring are both highly recommended.
