True dat. And some of them might run into me because they can’t control their car with worn out tires.

Might I suggest an argument with me when you aren’t a rookie is best?

Well since your so quick to give your opinion, seems like you start a lot of arguments around here.

Running a good used set of tires is no different then the other racer whose bought new tires are in the same condition as mine. Since most of us run tires until we see cords.

Your last two incoherent sentences make no sense. I’ll be happy to continue this conversation with you in person. Bottom line is, racing on worn out tires isn’t good for anyone, especially the person you didn’t mean to hit.

Signing off for tonight.

We’ve already met, and once was more than enough!!

Greg, My comments last night were not meant to be offensive or an attack on you in any way. I apologize to you if they were perceived by you or others in that way.

Last year at CMP going into turn 1, lap 1, someone lost control of their car and slammed into the side of me. It cost a lot of money to repair my car. To this day, I think the driver lost control because he tried to get one more race out of a set of tires.

Again, didn’t mean to create any friction between us, just suggesting accidents happen and maybe trying to prevent one from happening between us.

Good luck to you.

I am also somebody who spent thousands of dollars in the last couple of weeks on my car, with just about everything bought through our vendors. I ordered my tires from a non-vendor. You can yell at me all you’d like, but I’m ok paying $5-10 more for a part because it’s a vendor and have done so. But when it comes to tires the price difference is simply too much. Most vendors are $50-60 more for a set. That is a price of 1/2 of one tire. Two orders and you could buy 5 tires for the price of 4.

I’m right there with you on supporting the Vendors, but charging that much more because you’re a vendor isn’t right either.

Gasman,

I understand your issue. But I think based on your post it was a seasoned driver who was trying to get one more race out of his tires. Here you’re talking to a couple of rookies, who’s only goal is to last 4 races without an incident and try not to come in last! Believe me, if RA1 were still allowed I’d be running one of my used sets, but I had to buy R888 to be within the rules. Basically, what I’m saying is you are very unlikely to see us fighting with you or any other seasoned racer for position at CMP, all we want to do is get the Comp School done and log a couple of races without doing something stupid.

Alex.

Alex, I can appreciate your objective because it is still very fresh on my mind. I’ll say this and leave it alone: I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone that went out there intending to have an accident.

#28

Yep, that’s a fact. I don’t think anybody does.

My last post was a bit Harsh, and I apologize. I look forward to our discussion on tires. Just make sure you end it with a thataboyB)

Al, not true. SpecE30 is excluded from the RA1 grace period. R888 for everybody, please.
