Oh ya, smack talk. Hmm…
“SHOW ME YOUR WARFACE JOKER”
“Aaaaagh!”
“WTF WAS THAT YOU IDIOT?”
“THE PRIVATE’S WARFACE SIR!”
“Work on it”.

Car still needs work. Not enough time to get it ready. Said screw it and went to the beach. I’ll be ready to put the smack down on you guys/gal at CMP.
I agree, a little more reluctance on Jim’s part would be welcome from where Bill and I sit!
Well, this ROOKIE would cruise on over to ATL and show you old guys how its done but it just wouldn’t be worth it unless Steve D. is there to see my taillights.
The Panther will be there in HPDE 1! Caitlin is going to start driving and work on her license…
If saturday goes well and the Mustang is doing good then I might switch to the Panther on Sunday if so, then all of you will move back a slot…
Long odds on the “mustang doing good” and “everyone moving back a spot”…
Better odds on “mustang overheating” and “having to drive panther or nothing, and being a field filler…”
If the Mustang does well… then my “fastest lap time” from saturday’s race should place at the front of the (E30) grid Sunday morning

That’s rich. I will be there spectating Sunday, so I’d be happy to give you some pointers from the sidelines on where you are leaving time on the course. Don’t feel bad - even IndyJim is slow through Turn 1 at RA. Bam.
Steve D.
I have an honest question. Steve D. and Jim L. know why woes with my car. OILING PROBLEMS and BEARING FAILURE. No Ranger you can’t put your 2 cents in on this. I have only been able to compete in one race and it was with PBOC and 3 laps in the motor went. I am now on motor #5. Yep thats right #5. So I will FINALLY have it done and running for the BMWCCA DE/Race School at Barber’s on the 22nd and 23rd. If it would be done I would love to come. Plus I have a race car and trailer but no tow vehicle. Thank God for my brother in law and him allowing me to use his from time to time. My question is what are some realistic times for a Rookie at Barber’s and Road Atlanta?
The guys that are decent at RA are going sub 1:50. I think that Skeen’s track record is 1:44. I have yet to go sub 1:50 even once.
That’s a long ways between good and not good. At CMP or RR, the range between good and sucks might be 3 secs. But RA is challenging.
Unless you are coming in with unusually good skills, you’ll be doing around 1:53. As you get more comfortable and start figuring out the tricks, sub 1:50 should be do-able. But maybe not your first weekend there.
Well, the list is growing and I see some names I don’t really know, so this promises to be an exciting weekend!
Well, in my ever so hated by this group, ITA Miata I run 1:50-1:51 at Road Atlanta and I am running 1:53 or so at Barber’s in the Spec E30. Just didn’t know what to expect. So I am guessing these are mid to back of the pack times. Well I turn 30 on Monday, UUUGGGGHHH, so maybe I can talk my father into a Traqmate for my b-day. LOL
when in doubt, check Spec e30 Lap Records to see what times are “fast” for a given race track.

You’ll get tired of seeing Robert’s name on the southeast tracks list.
Not me. The Skeener is/was the one to beat. He’s been replaced this year by Johan. Let’s send 'em both to VIR to race the mid Atlantic group.
