Just registered. Sean and Jeremy have been putting a lot of time in. We got pretty far this weekend. Rear subframe should be in Tuesday night if all goes well.
Keep your fingers crossed we get the car done in time.

For those that don’t know yet I just bought a Spec E30 from the Southeastern region and now I am looking for a second seat and harness for DE. Does anyone have any old ones? I will be at Mid-Ohio working the event and bugging Anthony.

Yep, what a marathon it’s been. Without the 3 of us working on it, there’s no way it would be off the jack stands. I can’t thank you and Sean enough.

Hey Simon, remember when you used to have 12 hour days free to work on cars? Yeah, me too. My car is rolling onto the trailer the same way it came off 3 months ago. But it doesn’t matter because I’m ready to go! BTW, I’m staying at the travelodge in Mansfield, $55/night and the rooms are not too bad.

Here is my brief roundup as I’m buried at work. Anthony cleaned up, especially in the rain. We had a massive thunderstorm Saturday, that cancelled Saturdays race. Anthony’s car was parked in a flood plain apparently, I think there are pics somewhere. He saved his car from being flooded completely. Sean Lousin got his first pole Saturday, I think it was his first? Sunday morning we ran the Sat race in damp conditions. Anthony cleaned up but there was some good racing further back. I ended up at the back of a 4 car pack (7th I think). 2nd race was dry. Anthony was on pole I was 2nd. Traffic was crazy as we were gridded by group. We were behind GTS1 and a huge Spec miata field. Finsih was Anthony 1st, Sean 2nd and I think Cameron or Osborne 3rd? I crashed out of 2nd, after I got red misted by a Miata that was blocking me. I made a very stupid and optimistic braking maneveur trying to brake and clear this miata and ended up taking out another E30 (GTS1). Car is fixable, I’ll have video of my races and stupidity later. Kevin Sweeney crashed his car twice. Once in the rain, which I have done multiple times, but then in the dry he got squeezed off track with nowhere to go and hit a wall and rolled. He is fine, car not so much. Overall a really fun weekend though as we were all parked together.

Stuck at work as well. I’ll put a race report together later this evening. Had a great time racing and visiting with everyone! So glad Kevin is OK. That was a wild ride.

Note the race wheel/tire floating! Water made it into the cockpit, motor was fine thankfully.
