I’m going to go get motored hard and cry about it later.
Anyone else coming to VIR this weekend?
I was talking to my junkyard motor last night, as I was replacing it’s rusted out 23 year old stuck thermostat (Nice preventative maintenance Travis). Anyways, it told me that it thinks it has one burst of speed left to embarrass James Clay before it explodes. At least water will be flowing through the radiator when I lose.
Grace and Carter checked out hardcore. I cracked my radiator passing a D-mod car in Southbend and James broke his accelerator but we ended up spending the 2nd half of the race battling hard for 3rd/4th place. James took it by a car length or two.

A seriously close call (and the end of my radiator): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Xv3yKgbfDI
Good job on passing April in Southbend - I’m pretty sure you blew your chance of being accepted with Tarheel BMW
Had fun running GTS-1, we had a 7 car class (5+ 2 GTS2 cars…) Was slowest Saturday morning, Fastest Sunday morning, did not finish well as it was a 40 min race and as usual I did not have tires…was fun though, very exciting start. On Satuday I passed April in turn 3, as she was running 24’s and my best had been a 32 I know she thought I was sandbagging, got my rear bumper destroyed by missing a shift with Gagliardo behind me, I am glad his car was unscathed as it was totally my fault. Ran in the 25’s on Sunday, car is getting better, with the Hoosiers that everyone runs I know I can run a 2.20 in the car with the e motor…
The drivegear guys had a fire burning all 3 nights, there was plenty of food and beer and the weather was spectacular. I had the blue spec e30 parked in the best spot in the paddock for selling a car, had a few ?'s but no real serious buyers…

Yea, I was hoping to put the nail in the coffin on that one. Mission Accomplished!
