Anybody want to race at Homestead on Nov 5th-6th?

#1

I know this is Natalie’s usual post, but the NASA FL Homestead/Miami race is only 2 1/2 weeks away. I know Scott is not going to be there, but is anyone else coming out to play with the crazy Spec Miata’s?

The entry fee’s are $299 for a whole weekend, which includes:

Grouping with the Lightning Race group, which is: SM, SE30, and HC (sometimes)

Sat: 15 min practice, 20 min qualifying, 30 min race
Sun: 20 min qualifying, 30 min race

Awards ceremony with pizza and beer.

Anyone interested go ahead and check out the registration page at: https://www.nasaproracing.com/event/1142

Hope to see some new SE30’s there!

Thanks!
John

I may go for HPDE. I’ve read the rules, but who can actually tell me from experience what needs to be done to my street E30 so that it would be considered “track worthy”?

New street/track or track brake pads, and freshly flushed/bled high temp fluid would be the big things along with a good set of tires.

Oil change, coolant = water wetter

I’m with Tut. Pads, brake fluid, tires. I haven’t changed the oil in my factory five for 2 years now, just doesn’t seem like a useful endeavor. Nut and bolt the suspension parts, give everything under the car a visual, check wheel bearing play and get on track.
