anybody heard of this -- three beeps under dash?

Hey,

I’m in the process of building a car and working through DEs. I picked up a 1990 325i about 8 months ago. Twice in the past week, i have heard three medium pitched beeps/tones spaced about a second or two apart, which seem like they came from under the dash/instrument panel. no warning lights have come up.

the car has no alarm/radar that i’m aware of but haven’t checked thoroughly. just wondering if anyone else had run into this?

Step one on my car was removing the speaker for the chime. Sounds like the warning for icy road conditions. how much A/C you got in your garage?:wink:

Didn’t the OBC have an alarm function that could be set to chime on the change of the hour? Or am I thinking E36?

Yes, I think the OBC has that function.
