Annual Tech Inspection

#1

I just found out that I’m allowed to do Tech Inspections. This will save you $$ over the NASA price. Sadly, I paid the $100 last week, but such is the cost of learning.

Cost. I’ve been bringing chow to NASA events to support the group of us grilling up something, telling lies, snorting derisively at each other’s misadventures, and drinking each other’s beer. The cost of me teching your car is to help me provide for these SpecE30 bonding ops. So if I tech your car, I’ll hit you up prior to some event this year and ask you to bring a couple 12 packs, or bring enough wurst, dogs and buns to feed a dozen. Call it a cost of $30-$35.

Here’s the form that you will need. http://www.nasaproracing.com/forms/annual_race_tech.pdf

My tech inspection will likely get taken care of this weekend at the dyno/tech day, but let me know what you need as far as chow. I’d be happy to pitch in. I’m certainly planning to be at the first two events. After that things get a bit more fuzzy with baby2 due this spring.

Maybe we could make some kind of deal for a discount on one of those snazzy SE30 patches.

Scott, I believe there are actually 2 relevant forms, but I’m not positive how they relate to one another. The form you posted appears to be one the driver would complete (self-inspect) before presenting for the actual inspection. The long form, used by the inspector, is http://www.nasaproracing.com/forms/annual_race_inspector.pdf

Also, don’t forget to bring all your personal safety gear, that gets checked too.
