Seriously what? Every year your number costs you $40. Otherwise someone can come to an event and if they paid for your number, then you have to change yours for the weekend. Heck, last year I paid for my number and they still made me change it for an event.

I’d rather change my number for the weekend… right after i stinkplam the SOB who took my number

Well, I’d like to say that I’m a lover not a fighter, but I can’t for fear that my wife might see this and burst out laughing.

Yeah and now the real fun starts Ranger since you want to run BMWCCR too.

Ask me how I got the awesome #008 number. Uhhh what do both groups have open.

F-r’s. I’m not paying another $40 to reserve it with NASA and I’m with Scott if someone takes it street justice is coming into play.

Take a good look at my car it isn’t afraid of contact.

#7

Jimmy, Stop it, you are killing me.

Most people just wing it and luck out, and a well-placed strip of nails on a strip of plywood in front of the poacher’s tow vehicle usually solves any residual difficulty. Wise up, man!

And if you want to hear the whole kick in the nuts. My hood has #08 on it, why? Because that was my first number. So I sign up for BMWCCR and they only have #008. I liked my car back then so I took the time to order completely new decals with #008 so it would all be consistent. Spend money on those and time taking all the old stuff off.

Go run my race at Roebling (which is in Dec, right).

Jan-ish email comes out be sure to reserve your number for next year. I’m sensitive about this since I just spent more money and time (I love doing sh!t twice), so I check the little website.

wait for it…

#08 was now available.

@#%@#$^$#%!@#!$ Year later still quite bitter…

Ummm. Just to be sure, do you care if I take 08 (since that is what is on my car)?

Steve D.

PS - I might see if 4.10 is available if you sumbitches can take a joke.

i hope you got whatever they charged you for your “annual number” back…

Jim, I always thought your # had something to do with your car being the anterior version of mine. Of course, after a year of hardcore racing, both of our cars look like steaming piles of $hit. The uglier mine becomes, the faster it gets, and the less I care. I’m with Jim and Chuck…make my day

A lotta love out there tonight.

Having to change my number for an event was a mistake. It got worked out.

All kidding aside, being perceived as reasonable and non-confrontational is like money in the bank. That way when the day comes that common decency forces a person to say “if you call us mediocre again I will pick you up by your neck”, there is a certain ring of believability.

Steve D. #08 is all yours, in fact I’m trying to get as many variations of 0’s and 8’s as possible so that I can blame as much stuff on other people as possible.

Travis - I’m not that clever, but it did work out that way. I should do a maroon car with gold numbers, like a pimp.

Haha thats good stuff. I agree, 410 should be your number

I’m with the group on this one. Ill roll the dice and see what happens at registration. However, my car is still in mint condition and I don’t want anyone banging into me…I certainly dont do it to others.

#16

+1 on 410 for Steve. Anything else just ain’t right.

#17

Three digit #'s are generally safe in any organization - two digits and you probably need to reserve yours.

FYI- For all the headache that Julie has for each event to keep track of permanent #'s she deserves the $$! (I think she spends it on alcohol!!)
