Is there any inherent advantage of one over the other? I’m thinking in terms of chassis stiffness, or balance, or weight. I’ve seen both win, but I mean taking car prep and driver skill out of the equation. Any thoughts, theories, facts, insights?
2DR vs 4DR
This has been discussed before and the general feelings on the idea was that it made no difference. Both are the same as far as wheel base and such. Both use the same windshield so no real aero advantage.
Some like the 4 door for easier access to the fuel pump and to store stuff. Some like the 2-door because of the bigger hole to get in and out of.
I chose a 2-door as I think it looks better.
Do a search and you should find some info.

Couldn’t resist…The only difference is that the Four-Door is soooo much better. It allows you to take passengers along for a ride. Just ask Betty Mae how we did in last season’s racing with the taxi cab.

PS we’re thinking of a four door car for Laura, too. It would be a great mommy car.

He has yet to prove this.
Apparently, the 4 door head gaskets are vastly superior.
