2015 Tech

Options:

  1. Have your car teched in the NASA Tech shed at your first event. Cost $100.

  2. Have Fred or I tech your car when/wherever a link up might be managed. Cost is you bring chow for 1 SpecE30 Saturday paddock lunch, call it $35ish unless you insist upon feeding everyone prime rib.

  3. Take your car to one of the shops that do annual tech. Cost is usually $50-$75. The official list of shops is at the link below, but there’s sure to be other shops that aren’t listed. The process for a shop getting certified to do Tech is pretty informal. I think it’s mostly a matter of the shop calling up Jim and convincing him that they know what they are doing. http://nasa-se.com/pretech.php

How does tech work between regions? As long as one shows up with a 2015 tech sticker and a signed logbook, it’s all good? I see some local NC shops that are listed as official tech shops on the Mid-Atlantic page, but I don’t see them on the Southeast page. I’ll be splitting time between regions. Can I just go to the Mid-Atlantic shop, or do I need to have the shop coordinate with Jim as well?

Tech is national. Regions look for the sticker on your car and the signature in your logbook. They won’t care what region actually handed you your sticker and signed, or the details of where and how.
