Do motors get torn down at regional events? Not that I know of.
The National events, if they are going to mean anything have to do some type of extensive testing of compliance. If they didn’t, is the win really a win? No one knows. Is the compliance testing perfect? Nope, but it is necessary for Nationals. I totally agree that improvements need to be made.
Director types, can we get a glimpse of the proposed rules changes? Perhaps a draft?
Specifically engine related if we are planning on building something for the championships this year? If we have a draft of the rules that would placate my interest. I mention this as I have to start ordering parts soon to get everything and build it before June. Not getting a glimpse of what everyone is proposing behind the scenes until the last minute would be no bueno.

I was also wondering about the 2015 rules. Hopefully it doesn’t involve hp and torque numbers which were made up by inaccurate data, like the last few years. :ohmy:

New rules wont be posted until 2 weeks prior to West Coast Champs in Just like last year…
And just to be clear: Balancing means lightening all internal components to minimum weight
