The big question I have is how best to secure it? I have a couple of Lincoln Navigator rotors I’m hoping to use as ballast but I’m not sure how best to secure it safely.
2012 Minimum Weight
9.3.13.2.3. Each segment, or stack of segments, shall be fastened with a minimum of two
(2) one-half (1/2) inch diameter bolts and positive lock nuts of SAE grade 5 or better
unless the ballast is mounted using the four (4) passenger seat mounting points and
replacement bolts, and shall utilize large diameter, load distributing washers.
9.3.13.2.4. Holes may be drilled in the passenger compartment for purposes of securely
mounting the ballast and the mounting point may be reinforced for the same
purpose.
Heres my data to add to the spreadsheet.
Robert Schmitt
180lbs
1989 325i 4 door
40lbs of ballast + spare
All tar, seam sealer and sound deadening in front of the engine firewall removed. All tar in interior of the car and trunk remaining.
Removed PS, AC, oil cooler, front door windows and mechanisms, rear window mechanisms, all interior panels, heater/blower, sunroof cassette and charcoal canister. Drivers door steel replaced with aluminum. Front bumper cover and valance replaced with 2lbs of carbon fiber. I have a gigantic 3 quart accumulator and run 9 quarts of oil. IE front strut bar. Need to add rear strut bar eventually.

I could get to 2550 pretty easily PRE RACE with driver.
The German definition of a coupe has no b-pillar. IE ford Thunderbird. So we have a two door sedan. If only the the insurance companies used their definition.
