14 or 15 inch rims

#1

I have a quick newbie question, I have a set of 14inch rims for my e30 now and I was looking at getting toyo tires for it. Will it hurt me to run 14 inch tires and not 15 inch? I know the smaller tire will rev higher but will it be anything that will set me back?

you put a 205/55-14 on the 14’s and 205/50-15 on the 15’s so there is almost no difference in the outer rolling diameter. If you are a novice, there are a lot of other things that are better to spend your money on (like seat time).
cheers,

Get those Toyos for the 14’s, and start playing.

I’m running the 14’s on bottlecaps. My budget simply won’t allow for the bigger wheels right now. For a beginning driver I think they are fine.

Yeah I was looking at 14’s because the tires for those are cheaper and like most Iam on a strick budget. Now I just need to find some cheap bottlecaps.
