Regarding the tent and banner:

All we need in the SE is a couch, I bet 90% of the SE spec 30 racers at RA sat on Travis’s portable couch…if we do this race at VIR we will bring a full size couch and a ping pong table.

That couch was awesome.

During breaks Fred can use the couch to provide our disturbed MA brothers with much needed psychological counseling.

(#&$*#!! I’m NOT a shrink.

On the other hand, if you’re gonna race in Spec E30 it helps to be bat-sh*t crazy (to use the technical term).

Yes it would go something like this…

SE counselor: This is your happy place. You can say whatever you want here.

MA driver: I really feel bad about lapping the fastest SE driver in the race yesterday and I want to make it up to them somehow.

SE counselor: Have you ever tried driving in reverse or faking a mechanical problem?

MA driver: No, but I just dont think that would be enough. These guys really are mediocre.

SE counselor: You take racing too seriously. Whats the point of beating the other guys anyway? Do you think this is formula 1 or something?

MA driver: It’s just my competitive instincts… I’m sorry. I’ll try to let them keep up. What is the start time of the race today?

SE counselor: 3:00

MA driver: That was 5 minutes ago!

SE counselor: (aside) hehehe.

:stuck_out_tongue:

I believe the PC description is “long on enthusiasm and short on good sense”. As far as I can tell, that certainly applies to all of the SE racers, and some take it to the extreme!

The 10/10 VIR date might not be the best option. I just remembered that we only had sprint races on saturday on the last event of '08. Not sure if this will be the same for '09 but we definately want to have sprint races both days. Maybe cobetto would be open to ideas…

The march date falls in a 1.5 month gap in the SE schedule…
