'09 Tentative Schedule

#21

I really wish RR was back on also. It’s so close to home and it really is a good track. I still don’t understand how in this economy race tracks aren’t begging to get everyone they can to their track.

Looks like I can do:
1 cmp
3 RA
1 AMP
1 LMS(can’t miss IFU3, as I will probably be out front)

no roebling :frowning: (I blame Ranger B) )

Roebling is my home track. I’ve done all sorts of stuff behind the scenes to mend the relationship. Jim Pantas, and a couple others, have also bent over backwards to do the same. And it’s working. But it just didn’t get fixed quite fast enough to get back on the '09 calendar.

There’s a couple things that you just don’t kid about. You don’t tell a guy that his wife’s ugly, and you don’t hassle my ass about the Roebling problem.

It was a joke

I know. Not all my jokes work either.

Zing!

I just saw Lowes on the schedule! SWEEET!!! IS this the new rockingham? Do they allow camping at the track?

Craig, did I ever pay you for sharing a garage stall?

Edit: Mother effer - I think I’m going to a wedding that weekend … can anyone offer some good excuses?

#28

Don’t sweat the garage spot. You’re also welcome for the bump starts when your beater wouldn’t start (who am I to talk… I have 2 SE30 cars in my garage right now that are both paperweights :woohoo: ).

Good point too regarding Lowes. Sounds like a once in a lifetime opportunity if it’s anything like Rockingham. Literally once in a lifetime.

#29

Lowes is much nicer than the Rock, and I am a big fan of the Rock…so yall better get you shit together for that weekend. I doubt they allow camping, but there is a HOOTERS less than a mile away with tons of hotels. The oval of Lowes is much more comfortable than the rock, the turn in to the infield is hairy, you do not want contact there, the track out is a concrete wall.

Yeah, track out onto the oval is no joke, and it comes after the only “tricky” turn on the track. I’ve got some good video of me almost eating it in an “e” car that I’ll have to dig up.

Lowes is much nicer than the Rock - but it is also much faster than the Rock. It should be fun to watch everyone 3-4 wide on the back straight into NASCAR T-3 :woohoo:

I used to hit the rev limiter in 5th in my AI/X car on the back straight, there is plenty of room to reach the max velocity of your car B)

Add to that the fact that there is a HUGE mall for spouses and every type of restaurant you can imagine less than 3 miles away makes for an excellent place to do some racin’

Our tentative plan is to only have Racers, TT and a 2 Hr Enduro - with a good chance that we will have two sprint races in the one day - July 17th - like we do at Rockingham events.

Bring your cool suits.

Jim, Merry Christmas to you! The 2009 schedule on the Southeast website shows CMP on May 4-5-6 and Barber on May 30-31. I’m wondering if the May 4-5-6 is supposed to be April 4-5-6. Please verify.

Thanks.

#34

It is correct - there are many other events going on in April so we took the month off…

FYI - April 4-5-6 is the http://www.24hoursoflemons.com/ @ CMP…

#35

Okay, I see now, the schedule says May 4-6th, but when you click on registration it shows May 1-3rd, which is a Friday - Sunday. Got it.

#36

Thanks - I fixed it…

#37

Jim, I just noticed the December 4th enduro is a 10 hour race. We barely had time to finish the 8 hour race before dark. We would have to start at 7:00 AM. Are cup holders allowed? I’ll need a cup of coffee for the road.

#38

I really need to get my motor fixed…

Yes you do. I happened to think about it this weekend and wondered if you’d found out what the problem was.

I think he must have taken advice from Ranger:ohmy:
