Moberg, where is Greg Moberg this weekend and what is his excuse?

Hall brothers?

Again, a really big field if we all showed up at a given event.

I’m not wearing pants either!

Al, we all knew that you are in Colorado having fun.

Still, a lame excuse.

Well, the weekend is complete. Jim Levie spent the whole day under his car, in the rain. Place he picked looked much like a creek but he persevered and got the car ready to race. CB

Robert, I’m poor!!

I will be by Sunday to watch and hopefully snag a ride

You guys be safe and have fun!!!

Any news on the enduro?

Greg, Franklin Futrelle and I finished second in class and first in e30…not sure who was behind us. Probably would have won had it not been for pitting under yellow and taking the stop and go penalty.

Any update on Saturday racing?

I called up Fred to get some scoop. Qual was wet. Today’s Sprint was wet and started drying about halfway thru. Fred got 6th, which is pretty darn good given the size of the field.

Apparently the race went to yellow at about halfway thru and maybe never went green again. Not sure what caused the yellow but then a Legends(?)crashed (exit of 7, inside wall) when he was trying to catch up during the yellow.

Al K tied up with a Miata somehow and ended up in the wall at the exit of 5. Damage isn’t too bad I guess and he might be racing tomorrow.

Jim Levie had some car troubles. Maybe drive shaft maybe half shaft. Apparently he, with some assistance from Chuck Baader, worked his ass off trying to overcome some funny rear end noises.

Walsh and Levine were fast. Fred lamented that “There’s so many newbies I don’t know half the field. And Scott, none of the newbies are chick’s man”. Fred’s words, not mine.

I love the guy but sometimes he has a hard time with the idea that he’s >50, and with the rest of us, on the downhill slope.

Johan qualified first followed by Eric and Patton. In the race, however, Johan did not started P1.(I don’t know the reason).

The race started with light sprinkle but was mostly dry. Eric and Patton took off from the field and Chuck (I believe he was in third) came in after one lap due to some wheel problem.

About 25 min into the race, double yellow and the pace car came out due to multiple crashes. The race ended under double yellow.

Erid came in first, Patton second, David Walsh came in third. Evan, David Daniel, and Fred rounded out the top six.

Robert qualified for the first spot this morning on a wet track.

Found out that Johan chabged the tire to his rain tires yesterday and only finger tighten the lugnuts. He had to go back to torque his wheels and that’s why he started from the back.

Rock On! Sound like an exciting weekend so far. Keep the reports coming…

Special kudos to Fred. It’s amazing what a surgically enhanced wrist can do for ones ability to make right and left turns

In the Sunday race, it was a death match duel between Johan and Walsh. They were trading places and paint between them.

Again, a double yellow came out and shorten the duel.
Yohan came in fisrt followed by Walsh.

I had a great first NASA event. My bronze #333 HPDE1 E30 was flawless other than the damn fuel starvation issue coming out of turn 7 which got worse on Sunday when I don’t think I was filling both sides of the tank. I got to watch both Spec E30 races. I watched the Saturday race from spectator hill and saw the Miata/E30 contact in turn 5. He didn’t hit the wall, but his splitter got ripped off and he kept spinning the tires trying to get out of the damp grass/mud. The race was very exciting to watch from that location. I watched the Sunday race from the middle of turn 6 and 7 and didn’t get to see much action. An RX-8 shut it down just after turn 7 and then an E30 stopped there too just after the race ended. My instructor Shaun Barrett was awesome and I got a ride in his orange Spec E30 prepared car along with getting him to drive my car for one session. The weekend couldn’t have been better and it just confirms my desire to continue my build and get out there with you guys ASAP. Hoping to do Roebling next.

Don’t hope to do Roebling. Just do it! I will be there too in HPDE1. Just get your car lowered for a start B)
You looked good out there.

If Johan hadn’t forgotten his transponder at CMP he would have won. If he hadn’t scrambled to change to wets for Saturday’s RA race he would have won.

I guess that’s why we run the races…:woohoo:

PS - All in good fun. Did your son win his game?

Yes they did, thanks for asking.
