Neither Best or Worst, but Definitely Funny- Passing Robinson on the last lap at Barber (in a broken car") due to the fact Jim couldn’t differentiate between a white flag and checkered flag. Thanks man…
Long Off Season-Your Best/ Worst
I think Jim just didn’t want to do that last lap, so he wanted to let me lap him to put him out of his misery. No other explanation really.
I knew you were thinking "Have I lost a step, do I still have it?", after Patton outqualified you.
So I thought that might boost your confidence. You’re welcome.
Best: more competition making a top finish more difficult.
Worst: see above
Best: driving the 8 Ball car to a second at Roebling.
Best: dyno testing the 8 ball after the Roebling race and finding its lost horsepower in a fouled oxygen sensor.
Best: We’ll test the 8 ball car in 10 days, and I’m expecting great things from it.
Best: Chuck Taylor found some power in an off-season cylinder head rebuild. Watch out for Chuck next year.
Others?
Best:Rereading all of your posts, laughing to myself as you pick on one another, and just hanging out with all of you Southeast Goobers. Can’t wait until next year. Thanks to all for making the racing a fun experience.
I’ve cautioned many that it could change as the fields grow larger, but so far we’re still singing "cumb ba ya" (or whatever the words are to that song).Having Jim Pantas join us as a racer will keep the racers in-line and his positive demeanor is a great asset to our run group. (kiss-up over, back to reality).
Regards, Robert Patton
Best: Pole at CMP by .6sec
Worst: spinning off so many damn times…or maybe wrecking the black car
Al
Yo, Taylor, the audience and me have been waiting for you to post something. You’ve got to do better than two dinky line entrys.
Someone get Al a beer. Then the keyboard will be used for all of our entertainment. After all, isn’t that what these forums are created for?
Regards, Robert Patton

Best: Finding more power. As Robert mentioned, leakdown showed a tired top end so had it freshened up. Dyno run afterwards also pointed to a malfunctioning O2 sensor. With a new O2 wired in, I should be up about 7-8 HP vs what I clocked back in Sep 07…Now up to about 155, not great but at least in the game.
Worst: Clutch jobs. I have done or assisted in doing at least 8 clutch and/or tranny replacements this year…I even got to do my sons clutch 2x since I fubar’d the first one. If I never fight with another starter bolt/nut it’ll be too soon for me.
Worst: The field sizes and skill levels of the SE group continues to grow. As somebody sorta once said: The faster I run the behinder I get. I think that applies in the southeast. 2008’s gonna be a fun year! (This is really a best, of course!)

I’m not a Ptree member…I didn’t get the chance!
Best: Watchimg Chuck Taylor do all of those clutch jobs…Oh, wait, let’s count my own personal list:
New clutch for the 8 Ball car
Fouchee at CMP
Taxi-gearbox
Taxi-slippage
Taxi-bad crank seal
LKP-E36 street car gearbox
M6 clutch in process
Watching Taylor…numerous times
Best: IFU Race
Worst: BMWCCA practice last saturday - I just passed Robert and Chuck (they both went for dirt rides  )
Better: Fired up an E36 '94 325i today, I bought it at an auction a month ago, and she runs and drives sweet B)
