I think the issue lies within NASA. The officials in my opinion should be a lot harder on the rookies, especialy in regards to body contact. I will say if any of the drivers that had issues recently show that they havent learned from thier mistakes they might get a few race suspensions and return to group 4 for awhile longer. In regards to body contact, the issue was addressed by Jerry in the drivers meeting on both days. There was a little clarification on what is actually allowed like bump drafting and placing donuts when an opposing driver doesnt yeild a corner. I dont believe in crash up derby but if you want no contact it needs to be 13/13. Even in the 13/13 series’ there seems to some judgment of what actualy went on when the contact was made and rarely is the 13/13 rule imposed. Rubbing is racing and that’s what makes it exciting. It allows the best drivers with the most car control to excel through the pack. I have talked to some in the group and will do so again in detail about where and when in regards to each and every track we participate at the places to pass and the places that most of us feel is just unethical. TURN 8 THUNDERHILL is the best example.
