Head and Neck Restraint

I’m sorry and I know we have had this discussion before, but you are referring to an advertising claim that has not been verified by any independent, 3rd party organization. We’ve had racers tell us they could feed the HANS Device work for them when involved in a crash when instructing with a stock 3-point system but this is not something that can be verified nor would be recommend any HNR in this type of application.

Does this REALLY make sense to anybody???

sometimes manufacturers, standards bodies, and the legal system force us to use common sense/engineering know-how and say to ourselves “is it better than nothing?” and take personal responsibility.

Let’s keep our forum for input from drivers and racers and not make it a place to “advertise” your sole product for sale. I welcome input from anyone who represents or especially has used (Mike Skeen)all or at least several of the different HNR options. I think everyone knows where Howard stands on the subject.

Maybe Howard should runa 30 min infomercial here and simply overwelm us all with how good his product is! The other guys just can’t afford that kind of input.

Sorry Jeff. I didn’t know I was advertising. I thought I was just putting out more information so that anyone about to make a sizeable investment for any of the devices, can make an educated decision. Yes, I believe the HANS Device is the best. However, I also realize it is not for everyone. And yes, I am a racer… or my license says so anyway.

Howard, Didn’t mean to offend but I’d hate for anyone that doesn’t know you to take your input as unbias, lest you forget, you have a product to sell.

This is the kind of input we need!

No offense taken. Yes, I work for HANS. Yes, I think HNR’s are important. Yes, I think anyone about to make an expensive decision should be able to make one based on knowledgeable input and not advertising claims. I have tried the R3, Hybird and Leatt-Brace. I am waiting to get ahold of the new DefNder after the first of the year. I don’t mind these discussions and I always try not to advertise.

Right now, with my schedule, it is a toss up on whether I can make it to Road Atlanta in December but if someone wants to try on one of these devices, I will be glad to bring them, probably on Saturday. If someone would like to see them and try them on, let me know.

Note: Actually, what I meant about my license saying I was a racer was really a joke based on my past couple of performances.

Just would like to say thanks for all the opinions. Just picked up a HANS today and look forward to that little piece of mind.
