I got a speedo from nasaregistrar (Sean) yesterday. I replaced the the unit in the cluster today and now I have a working speedo. Yay for the cruise control!
The replacement unit had few broken gear teeth on the odometer so I thought about swapping the gears from the old unit to the new. However, the old unit was a VDO model and the new one was a Motormeter unit. The gearing and the size of the gears were completely different.
