What do mean by using spacers? Spring pads?

Windows MovieMaker is free. RaceRender will set up PictureInPicture for you if you have 2 cameras. There’s a mess of other video editing software apps.
I had always used windows movie maker to do my videos, but now that I am using the GoPro camera, I am forced to use whatever I can find to work. Apple’s stuff is a pain (or, I am too reluctant to change) and I am too cheap to buy a real video processing program.
If you’re on a Mac, iMovie is pretty simple to use, IMO.
On Windows, if you want to venture beyond Windows Movie Maker, there are some affordable options such as Sony Vegas (Movie Studio version) or Pinnacle Studio:

I use a cheap editor called ALLOK to cut the clips and convert them from MOV (which I think is what GoPro uses). It’s a good multi-format converter. Then I use an old version of Moviemaker to put the pieces together.
I also struggled w/ this for some time. I have been using Pinnacle Studio Ultimate HD for a while and it’s simple, but also has some powerful features if needed. All video editing programs use a boat load of computer HP, so keep that mind. I run pinaccle on macbook pro (w/ Windows 7) hardware and it runs like a champ. If you aren’t running a decent computer it will only add to the frustration.
The slomo is awesome. Is that something you need the right camera, production software, or both to do?
High-speed camera is needed. I believe the GoPros are 30-60fps. That video was shot at 240fps according to the title.
Note that the white #2 is not in that video, I did not hit those gators all weekend…look how jacked Fred’s car looks, that must be from Saturday,
