CMP Smack Talk Thread

#21

Malt Liquor Tech is registered for the enduro and I will be there for the sprints. I am hoping for rain, especially Friday. Last time it rained at CMP the track actually felt better…of course that was before the change/repave. Rain in a 3 hour saves brakes and tires, so it saves money…it may make the difference between having Jager or MD20/20.

The question is, can I be on the pole for 3 years in a row?

There are a few of us going down tomorrow night. We’ll most likely be in the same spot we were in. There are only a handful of Porchers anyway.

Same me a spot and get us closer to power. Try to get the spot Roar Racing was in. Last I checked… they didn’t have a spec e30.

Anyone at the Colony Inn Thur night? I’ll be rolling in just in time for beer and lies.

CMP’s 6th Place Trophy:

“Wilson, is that you reincarnated or is that beers talkin’?”

Yes kids, you do see correctly. This is no ordinary 6th place trophy but could be a potentially limited edition true multimedia piece (note the artistic use of plastic ziptie to hold brake ‘placard’ onto valve). Idea borrowed without permission from our friends at BeerTech racing. Not signed by artist. Skeen, you can’t win this since you’re not showing up, so just get some.

Too bad Tom Hall’s scared and not showing up… I have a bone to pick with him. Laura, think you can endure the pressure this time? Bill Z - it’s a rematch but this time I want the same lap count and there won’t be a photo finish. Al Taylor’s potential for pole sitting is as great as it was at the dumpy bars he and Travis frequent in Kershaw, but rest assured, T11 has his name engraved in the dirt somewhere. Should I continue? This was a smack talk thread but some of you Sallies went off topic (parking spaces? wtf?)

Re. going off topic. Sorry. Was thinking of Smack Talk as the kind of bottom feeder sort of foolishness that begs interruption. In the future I will treat it with newfound reverence.

I’d participate, but if I talked smack, it’d just make it all the more sweet to humble the dogchit out of me. Hard to see the merit of that.

Score on the 6th place trophy. Nicely done.

We’re only going to have 19 cars this weekend. Due to the ever growing list of Nancy’s

Travis “He Haw” Wilson… The #1 chicken F’er of the bunch

#30

“I’m a grinnin” after that one!

#31

All I can say is this, if I’m fortunate enough to be fifth, you better be ready for a brake check if you are sixth. If I’m seventh, you are going down.

#32

Game on!

I’m going to be going for my best finish ever  (not that that’s saying much)… but you guys better look out for all 3 BeerTech cars in the top 10!

Bring it! And don’t forget how I ran you down like a dog in the Sunday race and passed you like you were standing still…

Well, when you’re spinning backwards at 90+ mph hitting brake markers, I’m sure things start to look confusing to you.

:stuck_out_tongue: Anyone else care to play?

“I wants me that 6th place trophy H.I.! Don’t come home without that 6th place trophy!” - Edwina

With apologies to what classic film???

I’m predicting about 5-wide at the finish line in the midpack. Gonna be fun.

I didn’t realize you were still close enough to me to see that…

Bill, If Ricky Bobby can win backwards, so can you. Shake and bake baby!
